Is NRA's executive vice-president LaPierre really Delusional reguarding Obama's Gun Control Measures or is it really creative Blogging
Is Wayne LaPierre the executive vice-president of the National Rifle Association beginning to become delusional regarding his views on Obama and his gun control measures? Or is this cleaver blogging by Elise Foley of the Huffington Post? Her Blog titled 'Obama is 'trying to take away America's guns'. (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/03/wayne-lapierre-obama-guns_n_2610763.html?utm_hp_ref=huffpolitics-blog) In her blog she noted an interview with Chris Wallace and LaPierre that the interview was tense. When discussing the video that the NRA put out accusing Obama of wanting security for his children but not others. It appears that LaPierre's delusion is leaving one to believe that the Presidents children are at the same risk as all of the other school children in America. How can LaPierre really believe this when there has been many threats on Obama and family since he took office. Wallace's response was to the mind set of LaPierre was "Its ridiculous and you know it." Foley went further in discussing that LaPierre has now withdrawn support for background checks at gun shows. This was a proposition that he initially supported calling it "reasonable," furthermore he is blaming mental health lobby in that gun laws wont work, that law enforcement needs to have more severe laws against gangs. So I guess the problem with the world is our gangs not the guns that are on the street, Which if there was background checks it may make it more difficult for some of the gangs to get the guns. What really made me take notice was when she blogged his quote on "Measures such as regulating certain semi-automatic weapons would have dire consequences" going on further to quote "If you limit the American public access to semi-automatic technology, you limit there ability to survive." Honestly how does regulating certain semi-automatic weapons have dire consequences on Americans? It does not, and it absolutely does not limit our ability to survive or protect our families. Finally she pointed out in the interview with Wallace, LaPierre stated that Obama was not going to take our weapons away and now LaPierre truly feels that Obama is changing his campaign promise, that Obama is "trying to take all 3 of them away" . This blog utilizes snippets from the interview with Wallace as well as recent comments made by LaPierre in my opinion the target audience is the Democratic Party. The point of view that she is writing this from is to get the target audience to believe that LaPierre has become delusional in regarding Obama's true intentions with the proposed gun laws. In reading her blog as is I agree LaPierre may need mental help of his own, that his delusions are clouding reality regarding Obama and gun control measures. However if she made the whole transcript available perhaps then it would give it more of a Republican slant which would be unworthy of the Huffington Post.
